Silk Road photography and culture exhibition opened in the town of Urgup, Nevsehir.  October 23, 2011 – November 3, 2011.

The exhibition, co-organized by Urgup Municipality, Basdere Municipality, Buyuk Sinasos Mansion, Cappadocia Art and History Museum and Sultan Sofrasi,  opened on Dagistanli Street located at the town center.

The exhibition consists of photographs by American researcher and photograph artist Lynn Gilbert and various crafts. Various agricultural products produced in Urgup’s villages   also were displayed at the exhibition. Shopkeepers of Dagistanli Street supported the exhibition by displaying their own products.

District Governor of Urgup, Tuğba Yılmaz, and Mayor of Urgup Fahri Yıldız attended the opening. The exhibition will be open for visitors until November 3rd.
